Some Land Cruisers pass through a few hands before they find their way to us. Not this one. Leslie has owned this 1995 FZJ80 since the day it was new, and after three decades together, she was not about to part with it. She wanted it brought back, not replaced. So she brought it to us.
Thirty Years, One Owner, One Promise
There is something different about a truck that has only ever known one owner. Leslie knew this FZJ80’s history because she lived it, every mile of it. The 1FZ-FE inline six had carried her faithfully, but three decades leave their mark. So we pulled the engine, got it out where we could see everything, and addressed it properly, cleaned, detailed, resealed, and gone through top to bottom. Fresh fluids, new belts and hoses, leaks chased down and fixed. The goal was simple: another thirty years, not just another season.
An Interior Worth Coming Home To
The inside told the story of a well-loved truck. Tired, worn, lived-in. Leslie deserved better, so we gave the interior a complete revamp. Seats reupholstered, fresh carpet underfoot, panels reconditioned, and the small details that make a cabin feel finished rather than merely fixed. She climbs in now and it feels like the truck she fell for in 1995, except better than she remembered.
Her Truck, Her Choices
This is where the build became truly hers. Leslie picked her own wheels and tires, the exact stance and look she wanted under those classic 80 Series lines. And when it came to paint, she did not chase a trend or a custom hue. She went back to clean, crisp white. Timeless, honest, exactly right for this Cruiser. Some decisions you do not overthink. White was always the answer.
