No two people want the same thing, and at Land Cruiser Restorations, we wouldn’t have it any other way. A custom Land Cruiser build means exactly that. Your color, your interior, your wheels, your tech, your vision. We don’t hand you a package and ask you to pick one. We sit down, talk through what you want, and build it from the ground up.
Paint & Body, All In House
Every custom Land Cruiser build starts with the body, and ours never gets outsourced. Paint and body work is done entirely on site by our own team. If you’ve found a color you love, online, on another vehicle, anywhere, bring it to us and we’ll match it. Too dark? We can lighten it. Too light? We can darken it. We cut old metal, install new metal where needed, and finish everything with a professional two stage base coat and clear coat. The result is a finish that looks as good as anything coming out of a high end custom shop, because that’s exactly what it is.
Upholstery Your Way
The interior gets the same treatment. Whether you want the seats reupholstered in a color and pattern that matches your build or you want the old seats pulled out entirely and replaced with something more comfortable and modern, we handle it all in house. The sky is genuinely the limit on colors and materials, we’ve done it all.
Every Detail, Handled
A custom Land Cruiser isn’t just paint and seats. It’s everything. Updated radio with Bluetooth, touchscreen, and backup camera? Done. New tires and rims in whatever style fits your build? You pick them. Rooftop tent setup? No problem. Subwoofer in the back? Easy. We’ve even built a Land Cruiser for a client who wanted to go completely off the grid, full satellite connectivity, capable of operating entirely independent of cell towers and conventional infrastructure. It took vision, research, and problem solving, but we made it happen. That’s one example of many. If you can dream it up, we can figure out how to build it.
We’ll Tell You The Truth
Not every Cruiser is worth building on. If you send us a Land Cruiser and the rust is too far gone, we’re going to tell you straight, investing thousands of dollars on a compromised foundation isn’t something we’re willing to recommend, even if we could take your money and do the work. That’s not how we operate. We’d rather point you toward a better candidate and build you something that’s going to last than take on a project that isn’t going to serve you well in the end. Honesty is part of every conversation we have.

Custom Land Cruiser builds are available across the full lineup, FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ70, FJ80, and 100 Series. Each series has its own character and we know them all inside and out. Whether you want a stripped down FJ40 built for the trail or a fully loaded FJ62 that turns heads on the street, we know exactly what each platform is capable of and how to get the most out of it.
