This 1990 Toyota FJ62 Land Cruiser received a full restomod build in our Belle Plaine, Kansas shop, transforming a classic 60 Series platform into a modern, trail-ready adventure rig. At the heart of the build is a Chevy 5.3L V8 Vortec engine paired with the 6L80e automatic transmission, delivering the reliability, power, and fuel efficiency that modern drivers expect while preserving the iconic look and off-road capability the FJ62 is known for.
The truck was finished in a clean white two-stage paint job, fitted with custom bumpers, rock sliders, a Warn winch, Front Runner roof rack, and a 40-gallon long range fuel cell for extended expeditions. Inside, the cabin was reupholstered in auto-grade vinyl with custom door panels, a center console, new carpet, sound deadening, and a Pioneer touchscreen head unit with Apple CarPlay. Off-road performance was upgraded with Old Man Emu suspension, rear lockers with onboard air compressor, and 33-inch BFG KO2 tires on black Pro Comp rims.
