This is home. Land Cruiser Restorations is based in Belle Plaine, Kansas, a small town in the south central part of the state, about 30 miles south of Wichita. We’ve been here for over 20 years building, restoring, and selling Toyota Land Cruisers for clients across the country. If you’re in Kansas you’re not just a client, you’re a neighbor. Kansas gets written off as flat and featureless by people who have never really explored it. The Flint Hills are some of the most beautiful tallgrass prairie landscape left in North America. The Gypsum Hills in the south central part of the state look more like New Mexico than the Midwest, red rock formations, cedar canyons, and backroads that go on for miles. The Cimarron National Grassland in the southwest is remote, quiet, and genuinely wild. And the Ozark Plateau starts just across the Missouri border with river country and forest roads within easy reach.
Kansas is also some of the best sourcing territory we have access to. The dry climate in the western part of the state produces Toyota Land Cruisers with remarkably clean undercarriages, minimal rust, solid frames, and platforms worth building on. When we source a Kansas truck we know exactly what we’re working with before any money changes hands.

One of the perks of being a Kansas client is you can actually come visit us. We’re 30 minutes south of Wichita on Highway 81, right off the road. If you’re in Wichita, Topeka, Kansas City, Salina, Hutchinson, Manhattan, Lawrence, Garden City, Dodge City, or anywhere in between, the door is open. Stop by, walk through the shop, see what we’re working on, and meet the family. Most of our clients never get the chance to do that because they live across the country. Kansas clients do.
We Come To You Anyway
Even though we’re right in your backyard, we still handle every bit of the transport for you at no cost. Pickup and delivery to and from anywhere in Kansas, fully covered. We pick up your truck and bring it home when the build is done. You don’t lift a finger.

We specialize in full Toyota Land Cruiser restorations and custom builds across the entire lineup, FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ70, FJ80, 100 Series, and 200 Series. Factory correct restorations, LS V8 conversions, custom builds, overland rigs, we’ve done it all and we do it right. Every build is handled in house from start to finish and road tested before it ever leaves our shop.
