Exterior
The exterior of this FJ62 Land Cruiser was professionally refinished in a two stage base coat and clear coat in Dodge Destroyer Gray, a stealthy and purposeful color that turns heads for all the right reasons. The body received proper prep work before paint and the entire undercarriage was treated with 3M rubberized coating for long term protection. A custom pinstripe and V8 badge were added, a cosmetic detail chosen by Jim. Grote LED headlights and window tint finish off the exterior cleanly.
Armor and Protection
Up front sits our custom LCR triple bar front bumper housing a Warn 8,000 lb winch. Out back our custom LCR rear bumper carries a full size spare. Both are powder coated to match the build. Custom rock sliders round out the exterior armor on this FJ62 Land Cruiser, giving it the protection it needs for serious off road use.
Performance and Drivetrain
Under the hood of this FJ62 Land Cruiser V8 conversion the 5.3L Vortec V8 breathes new life into the classic chassis. Both driveshafts were custom cut and balanced, the front Birfield knuckles were rebuilt, and a Champion 3 core radiator keeps temps in check. The air conditioning has been converted to R134a and a Long Range America 40 gallon fuel tank means you will not be stopping often. Suspension has been upgraded with OME springs, shocks, and a steering stabilizer with greaseable shackles. Five BFGoodrich KO2 33×10.5×15 tires sit on sharp two tone black and silver aftermarket wheels that tie the whole build together perfectly.
Interior
The cabin of this 1989 FJ62 Land Cruiser V8 conversion has been completely refreshed while keeping the character that makes the 60 Series so special. Seats have been reupholstered in durable automotive grade vinyl, new carpet and padding installed throughout, and rugged floor mats protect the carpet for the long haul. A custom lockable Land Cruiser Restorations center console adds both function and a finished look unique to our builds. The original door panels have been preserved in great shape, keeping that vintage striped fabric that gives this FJ62 Land Cruiser its classic interior vibe. A double DIN head unit with back up camera convenience and safety as well as all new speakers throughout.
