This 1989 FJ62 Toyota Land Cruiser is a past build from our shop, a full restomod that kept the classic FJ62 exterior while completely modernizing the drivetrain, suspension, interior, and electronics. The truck has since been sold, but it’s a great example of what a complete FJ62 restomod build looks like from the ground up.

About This Build
This FJ62 came into our shop as a solid restoration candidate and left as a head turning restomod. Every system on the truck was touched, from a modern LS V8 conversion and updated suspension to a fully reupholstered interior with custom leather and a new head unit with backup camera. The exterior was refinished in a new color with a full body and paint change, and the truck rolled out on custom bumpers, a roof rack, and new wheels and tires.

- 2013 GMC Sierra 5.3 engine with 6L80E transmission, 67,784 miles at install
- New OME springs, shocks, and steering stabilizer (heavy front, medium rear)
- A/C converted to R134a with new condenser
- Rebuilt front knuckles
- New windshield and seal
- Full body and paint color change
- 5 new Chrome Pro Comp 69 series rims
- 5 new Deagan 38 33×10.5×15 m/t tires
- Custom front bumper with triple bar winch
- Custom rock sliders, roof rack, and rear bumper with tire carrier and ladder
- New 8000# Warn winch
- 4 new Grote LED headlights
- 2 Rigid Industries LED lights on front bumper, 8 roof rack mounted
- All new custom door panels and cargo panels
- Reupholstered seats in blue and gray leather
- New Pioneer 7 inch touchscreen head unit with Bluetooth, navigation, and backup camera
- New speakers, carpet, headliner, sun visors, dash overlay, grille, and headlight bezels
- All new seatbelts throughout
- Custom center console with accessory light switches
