We’re Land Cruiser Restorations, a family owned shop based in Belle Plaine, Kansas, and we’ve been building, restoring, and selling Land Cruisers for clients across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years.

Boise might be the single best city in the country to own a Land Cruiser. The Sawtooth Mountains are a few hours north. The Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness — the largest contiguous wilderness area in the lower 48 outside of Alaska — is in your backyard. The Owyhee Desert stretches for millions of acres to the southwest with canyon country and dirt tracks that go on forever. If you own a serious truck in Boise you will use every bit of it.

Distance is never a problem. We handle all transport at no cost to you — we lift our fingers so you don’t have to. From pickup to delivery, it’s covered. You don’t have to drive it anywhere or figure out logistics. We handle it completely.

What We Build

We specialize in full Land Cruiser restorations and custom builds across the entire lineup — FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ70, FJ80, and 100 Series. Whether you want a factory-correct restoration, a full LS V8 conversion, or a build ready for the Owyhee canyons and the two-tracks of the Frank Church, we’ve done it and we know how to do it right. Every build is handled in house from start to finish — drivetrain, suspension, brakes, electrical, interior, and paint — and road tested before it ever leaves our shop.

Land Cruisers that have spent their lives in the high desert of southern Idaho are often in surprisingly good shape underneath. Dry climate, minimal road salt compared to the Midwest and Northeast, and owners who actually use their trucks and tend to maintain them. When we source from this region we know what we’re likely to find and we know how to evaluate it properly.
