What Year Did The FJ Cruiser Engine Change?

What Year Did The FJ Cruiser Engine Change?

The Toyota FJ Cruiser’s engine remained largely consistent throughout its production run, which was from 2006 to 2014 in most markets. The standard engine for the FJ Cruiser was the 4.0-liter V6 engine, and this engine remained the same throughout those years.

The 4.0-liter V6 engine produced around 260 horsepower and was available with either a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual transmission, depending on the model year and trim level. While there may have been minor updates and improvements to the engine’s performance or efficiency over the years, there was no significant change to the engine itself during the FJ Cruiser’s production period.
