What Was The Old Name For The Land Cruiser?

The original name for the Toyota Land Cruiser was “Toyota Jeep” in its early years. This name was used because the Land Cruiser was initially inspired by the Willys Jeep, a rugged and versatile vehicle used by the US military during World War II. Later on, as Toyota developed its version of the off-road vehicle, it adopted the name “Land Cruiser” to distinguish its model from the American Jeep brand. The Land Cruiser name has since become synonymous with Toyota’s line of rugged and durable off-road vehicles.
