Are All FJ Cruisers Made In Japan?

Are All FJ Cruisers Made In Japan?

The majority of Toyota FJ Cruisers were indeed manufactured in Japan. Production of the FJ Cruiser began in 2006, and most units were produced at Toyota’s manufacturing facilities in Japan.

There are some exceptions…

  1. Overseas Assembly – Some FJ Cruisers were assembled in other countries, particularly for markets outside of Japan. These assembly plants could be in countries where Toyota has manufacturing facilities.
  2. Modifications – While the primary production of FJ Cruisers may have been in Japan, modifications and customizations could have been made in other locations, depending on market requirements or individual customer preferences.

While the bulk of FJ Cruiser production occurred in Japan, there may have been variations based on specific markets and production needs.
